Automotive HMI
Navigation, thoughtfully connected.
UX consulting for in-vehicle navigation and infotainment systems.
Overview
Working through Spiegel Institut for Porsche, I translated early concepts into structured UX solutions for navigation and automotive HMI. The work connected stakeholders, external design agencies and software teams.
Selected public visuals are shown for context. Project details are condensed to respect confidentiality; the images do not document every stage of my contribution.
The challenge
Bring user needs, stakeholder requirements and software constraints together in consistent navigation and infotainment interactions.
My approach
- Translate early sketches and internal concepts into interaction concepts.
- Define information architecture, navigation flows and UX requirements.
- Develop prototypes, functional specifications and agency briefings.
- Review delivered UI designs and refine solutions with software teams.
Outcome
Structured UX concepts and documentation supported consistency across interactions and collaboration across design, engineering and product teams.
